Hi!
I’m looking for musicians to start a punk/post-punk/noise rock band — or something that doesn’t quite fit any of those labels. The idea is to make music that’s loud, intense, experimental and honest. Something with energy, character and a mind of its own. I’m open to taking things in whatever direction feels right.
Some bands I love: Swans, Swing Kids, The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower, Gang of Four, Fugazi, Spacemen 3, The Velvet Underground, Suicide, Psychic TV, My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau Twins. These are just a few points of reference, not a blueprint or a checklist. I’m equally into pop and jazz, but for this band I’m leaning towards something heavier, stranger, noisier and harder to pin down. I’d rather find a sound together than try to fit into one.
I’ve played in various bands and solo projects before, including Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge, Sequence of Events, Oracles and J. Vague. I play guitar, bass and keys, and I’m happy to take on whatever role makes the most sense.
Right now, I’m mainly looking for drummers, bassists and guitarists who want to make something with conviction, push things a little further and see where it goes. No need to have everything figured out from the start; just an openness to experimenting and making something happen.
