Building an International Rock & Metal Band - Looking for the Right People
I'm building an international rock & metal band and I'm looking for the right people to build it with.
I'm a guitarist and songwriter with 20 years of experience. I'm currently based in Sweden, but I'm not tied to Sweden or any particular country.
I want to be where my band is.
I'm open to musicians from anywhere in the world, and I'm currently looking across vocals, guitar, bass and drums.
I'm not looking for a casual project, a cover band, or people who simply want to play when they have time.
I want to find artists who want to create something of their own - original music, a strong identity, and eventually a life built around the band.
🎵 THE MUSIC
The direction combines the emotional impact and hooks of 2000s emo / pop-punk with the weight and intensity of metalcore and alternative rock.
References include The Used, My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, Mayday Parade, A Day to Remember, Story of the Year, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, Escape the Fate and Asking Alexandria.
These are references, not a blueprint. I don't want to copy anyone. I want us to create our own identity.
I want huge melodies, emotional vocals, memorable hooks, beautiful atmosphere, aggressive guitars and dynamic songwriting.
I want melodies that can genuinely break your heart.
I want to create music that people don't just listen to - I want them to feel it.
🎨 THE VISION
I want every member to feel that they truly belong in the band and can fully express themselves as an artist.
Everyone should bring their own ideas, personality and creativity. At the same time, we need to be flexible, open-minded and willing to try each other's ideas.
The best version of the music should always matter more than whose idea it was.
I want the five of us to become a real musical family - people who have each other's backs, grow together and stay committed to the same vision.
Technical ability matters, but ambition, character, creativity and commitment matter even more.
You don't have to be the best musician in the world today. If you have the potential, discipline and hunger to become great - and you're willing to put in the work - I'm interested.
🌎 WHERE WE'RE GOING
The long-term goal is to build a permanent band, release original music, grow an audience internationally and eventually make a living from it.
Eventually, I want us to base ourselves in the United States and tour internationally.
I'm not expecting everything to happen overnight. I'm looking for people who want to build it step by step and see how far we can take it.
🎸 ABOUT ME
I've been playing guitar and creating music for 20 years.
I've played in original bands, performed live, written and recorded a large amount of original material, worked with musicians from different countries and spent years developing my playing, songwriting and production skills.
I already have a substantial catalogue of previous recordings and demos that can serve as a starting point for the new project.
